Download invoices, receipts, and payment data

Cleared provides three different records: an invoice PDF for the bill, a payment receipt for a completed payment, and CSV or JSON exports for accounting.

Invoice PDF#

Open an invoice in Invoices and select Download PDF. This action is available for issued, paid, and canceled invoices with the required metadata.

A customer with a valid share link can also download the invoice PDF from the active payment page. The PDF describes the invoice; downloading it does not indicate that payment has happened.

Payment receipt#

After a successful payment, the public payment page offers Download Receipt. A customer can return to the full share link to access the paid invoice and receipt while that token remains valid.

A receipt records a completed payment. An unpaid or canceled invoice does not have a successful payment receipt. If settlement just completed, the receipt may not be available until the payment data has caught up.

Payment history#

Open Payment History to see paid invoices with their date, invoice reference, payer, amount, fee, net amount, and transaction link when available. Select a row to inspect the invoice.

Use From Date, To Date, and Apply to filter by payment date. This is a settlement-date filter, not an invoice issue-date filter.

Export CSV or JSON#

  1. In Payment History, set both From Date and To Date. Both dates are required to enable Export.
  2. Select Apply to review the corresponding payments.
  3. Open Export and select Download CSV or Download JSON.
  4. Keep the downloaded file with your accounting records.

CSV is useful for spreadsheets and accounting imports. JSON preserves structured payment data for further processing. These exports concern payments, not a complete export of every unpaid invoice or customer record.

Use the recorded gross amount, protocol fee, and net amount to reconcile payments. Do not recompute historical fees from today's merchant rate. See Fees.

Access and missing data#

Private document downloads depend on access to the invoice's metadata. If a customer's link has expired or been revoked, provide a new one through Share Invoice. Legacy invoices with unavailable metadata may not support the same documents.

If Export is disabled, fill in both dates. If a download fails, check the error, choose a valid date range, and try again. See Troubleshooting for delayed payment records.
