Invoice and payment record, together.
Illustrative payment on Base. Network costs are separate.
For independent work
A clear request.
A traceable payment.
- 01
Create the invoice
Choose your customer and add an amount, due date, and description. Cleared creates a payment link for that invoice.
- 02
Your customer pays
Share the link. Your customer connects a compatible wallet and pays in USDC on Base, without creating a Cleared account.
- 03
Keep the payment record
Check the invoice status and export payment records. Funds settle to the wallet that owns the invoice.
After you send it
Less hunting for
payment details.
- Check what is outstanding
- Find your client's invoice and see its status. Cancel an unpaid invoice when the work or agreement changes.
- Prepare your records
- Download the invoice PDF and export payment history as CSV or JSON. Keep the records your accountant needs without reconstructing them from chat.
- Stay in control of funds
- Cleared sets up your Safe smart account during onboarding. You approve withdrawals from it. Bank conversion and tax reporting remain separate.
Before your first invoice
- Who creates the invoice?
- The contractor creates a Cleared account, adds the client and invoice details, then shares the payment link. The client opens that link to pay.
- What does my client need?
- A compatible wallet with USDC on Base. They do not need a Cleared account. An external wallet may also need ETH on Base for network gas.
- Where does the payment go?
- For invoices you own, funds settle to your Safe smart account after the protocol fee. You approve withdrawals. Payments remain in USDC unless you arrange conversion separately.
- Can I use this to pay contractors?
- Yes. A contractor can send you a Cleared invoice link, which you pay from your wallet. This is an invoice-by-invoice payment flow, not payroll processing or scheduled bulk payouts.
