Prefunded platforms
Customer funding.
Connected to an invoice.
Give each customer a USDC payment link. Match the payment to its invoice, then update the balance in your application.
USDC on Base. Your application owns the customer ledger.
Production payment webhooks are planned.
Your platform requests funding
Create an invoice and associate it with your customer account.
Your customer pays
The payment link opens a wallet-based USDC checkout on Base.
Cleared records payment
Read the invoice status through the API. Confirm payment before updating a balance.
Your application credits the account
Apply the payment once to your own ledger, with the invoice as its reference.
Integration boundary
We track the payment.
You manage the balance.
An invoice payment and an available customer balance are two different records. Cleared provides the invoice and on-chain payment details. Your backend maps the invoice to the customer and controls what they can spend.
Payment webhooks: planned
The intended integration sends payment events to your backend so you can credit balances automatically. Production delivery is not available yet. Current integrations can read invoice status through the API.
Where it fits
When customers fund
an account before spending.
Ad-tech and media platforms
Associate an advertiser's funding invoice with their account. Your platform controls when confirmed funds become available for campaign spend.
Other prefunded accounts
Use an invoice to identify a customer's USDC deposit. For regulated uses, including iGaming, your business remains responsible for eligibility, licensing, and screening.
Plan around the
actual payment flow.
- Customer requirements
- A compatible wallet, USDC on Base, and potentially ETH for gas. Cleared does not provide card funding or fiat conversion.
- Your integration
- Customer mapping, payment verification, duplicate handling, and ledger crediting belong in your application.
- Volume and privacy requirements
- Discuss enterprise pricing and Private Payments availability before planning your rollout.
